Postdoctoral Position in Nuclear Theory at the University of Houston

The Nuclear Theory Group at the University of Houston has a postdoctoral position available, starting in the fall of 2023. Our group’s main interests include QCD at finite temperature and density, relativistic heavy-ion collisions, equation of state for hot and dense strongly interacting matter, and lattice QCD at finite temperature. The appointment is for a two-year term with a potential extension to a third year. Faculty working in the area of interest are Claudia Ratti and Volodymyr Vovchenko. The group works in close contact with the experimental STAR and ALICE heavy-ion group at the University of Houston.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Physics prior to the start of employment.

The interested candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests, and arrange for three letters of recommendation. The deadline for this application is December 15th, 2022, but applications will continue to be received until the position is filled.
