The Macalester College Department of History invites applications for a two-year Berg postdoctoral fellowship to begin Fall 2023. We seek a specialist in South Asian or Southeast Asian history with a focus on history of women and gender. The Fellow will teach three courses in each academic year: two survey courses and one open to the candidate’s area of specialization.

ABD candidates will be considered; however, they must have their degree in hand prior to August 2023. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of U.S. citizenship or unconditional permanent residency status at the time of hire. Salary and benefits are competitive.
