LECTURER OF REAL ESTATE, NON-TENURE TRACK 

Applicants are sought for a non-tenure track, Lecturer of Real Estate faculty appointment in the Department of Real Estate to be effective Fall Semester 2023. Applicants are required to hold a graduate degree in real estate or a related discipline. We welcome expertise from all areas of Real Estate including development, investments, finance, law, technology, and entrepreneurship. 

Responsibilities for this Lecturer position include a commitment to quality teaching at the undergraduate and Master’s levels, as well as service activities such as supporting the Department’s industry engagement activities that include GSU’s Real Estate Honorary Board and AREA GSU (Association of Real Estate Alumni at GSU). 

The Department’s undergraduate and graduate academic programs are persistently recognized as top-ranked Real Estate programs by national media outlets. The Department of Real Estate at GSU was founded in the 1950s making it one of the longest-standing real estate programs in the U.S. Accordingly, the large number of GSU Real Estate alumni can be found in many areas of the real estate industry, non-profits, government, and academia. With campuses in Buckhead and Downtown, the J. Mack Robinson College of Business is centrally positioned at the heart of the real estate industry in Atlanta.

The college has 12 academic units and offers two MBA programs, 15 master’s, three graduate certificates in innovation, two doctoral programs (a Ph.D. program with 11 areas of study and a Doctor of Business Administration), and 11 undergraduate majors. It offers a suite of signature programs, including WomenLead, its nationally recognized undergraduate leadership program, and week-long residencies for high-performing students on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley and Washington, DC. 

Robinson has broad and deep relationships with the Atlanta business community through its insight (analytics) labs focusing on fintech, legal analytics, operations, and social media. The college also is home to discipline-specific roundtables in financial leadership, human resources, logistics, marketing, and sales.
