PKU is a top university in China, located in the capital city, Beijing. CHEP was founded in 2006 by a Nobel physics laureate, Prof. Tsung-Dao Lee, also the CHEP's chief director. CHEP is one of the institutes of the school of physics at PKU.
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in particle physics, astroparticle physics, nuclear physics, or related fields with an excellent academic record. As a candidate, you are expected to have a solid background in at least one of the following sectors: data analysis with C++/ROOT or Python, detector calibration and R&D, Geant4 simulation, liquid helium, low-temperature physics, electronics and DAQ. There is no teaching assigned for the positions.
The salary package depends on the quality of the candidates. The complete package would be competitive even at the international level. You are welcome to inquire for details. The initial term for the position is three years and renewable based on mutual satisfaction. This position might lead to a promotion to a non-permanent research professor (but not a tenure-track faculty professor).
