The Centre for Quantum Mathematics (QM) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a number of postdoctoral fellow positions in quantum computing. These positions are for a duration of two years and are part of a larger initiative of quantum activities at QM, cutting across mathematics, computer science, physics and a number of application areas including climate science, health, robotics, finance, and quantum key distribution.

The QM has several funding sources available from European and Danish sources for these positions, including the EU Horizon-DIGITAL-programme for projects such as "Scalable Continuous Variable Cluster State Quantum Technologies (CLUSTEC)", "Danish Quantum Communication Infrastructure (QCI.dk)", and the Region Syddanmark innovation project "Quantum Mathematics for Quality Decisions in the Liver Clinic (Qliver)" - all led by the PI Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen. The postdoctoral fellows can work on a wide range of topics related to these projects.

The targeted starting date of the positions is 1 August 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. Application deadline: 15 April 2023.

The QM centre is located at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science on the international campus in Odense, Denmark. QM is newly established with the ambition to create a highly international and interdisciplinary group within a broad spectrum of pure mathematics and mathematical physics. Odense is a fast-growing international community with an open Scandinavian culture, affordable housing and living costs.
