|Hamline University seeks a full-time tenure-track assistant professor for an appointment in the Department of Sociology of the College of Liberal Arts beginning fall 2014. Applications from particularly well suited more senior faculty may be considered as well. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in sociology, be a member of the Department of Sociology, and direct the interdisciplinary Social Justice program, which is housed in Sociology. The area of specialization is open; candidates with interdisciplinary teaching and research interests indicative of a broad theoretical, methodological, and historical approach to current social issues and social movements are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should have the ability to teach a range of courses including introduction to sociological thinking, introduction to issues in social justice, and senior capstones in both Sociology and Social Justice. The successful candidate will be expected to have an active scholarly agenda and contribute to the college, university, and profession.
