|The Department of Biology (http://www.hamline.edu/cla/biology/) in the College of Liberal Arts at Hamline University is seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Exercise Science. The Exercise Science major serves undergraduates with interests in pursuing professional studies in Physical Therapy, graduate studies in exercise science/exercise physiology, and careers in health and wellness. Applicants must have a doctoral degree, along with documented teaching and research experience in one of the following fields: biomechanics, exercise physiology/kinesiology, health promotion, orthopedics, or motor control. Individuals with expertise in biomechanics are especially encouraged to apply. Post-doctoral experience is strongly preferred, along with ACSM and/or NSCA certification. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in classroom teaching, scholarly research and service, including academic advisement of students. Primary courses to be taught will include Biomechanics/Kinesiology, Motor Control, and Exercise Testing and Prescription. A research agenda that incorporates mentoring of undergraduate collaborative researchers is also required. |
