STANFORD UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-line, assistant professor position in SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES to begin in the academic year 2015-16. The scholar appointed will be based in a department but is also expected to make contributions to the interdisciplinary study of South Asia across the University. The appointment can be in one of the following departments in the School of Humanities and Sciences: Communication, Political Science, or Sociology. Teaching responsibilities will be determined by the home department.
Applicants should provide a cover letter including a brief statement of research interests, a curriculum vitae including list of publications, and sample(s) of recent scholarship.
