|The David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT is seeking applicants for the Koch Institute Clinical Investigator Program. These three-year fellowship positions will be filled by physician-scientists interested in bridging the gap between basic science and clinical cancer care through conducting basic and translational oncology research at the Koch Institute concurrent with maintaining clinical activity at one of the Boston area oncology treatment centers. The candidate will be expected to devote ~80% time to bench research at the Koch Institute/MIT and ~20% time to clinical cancer care.
The selected individuals will work closely with faculty mentors at the Koch Institute, an NCI designated cancer center (ki.mit.edu), to build a state of the art basic/translational research program with dedicated lab space and research support. Candidates must be board-eligible in some clinical specialty/sub-specialty (Hematology/Oncology, Surgery/Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, etc.) and be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license. Interested individuals completing their residency/fellowship and/or postdoctoral training, as well as instructor-level faculty are all encouraged to apply. A record of productivity in clinical, translational, and basic research is essential.
