The Department of Physics at the University of Alberta invites applications to fill a postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a starting date in the Fall of 2017. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with Prof. Joseph Maciejko and Prof. Frank Marsiglio. This position is a full-time one-year appointment, renewable for a second year by mutual agreement. Research topics include strongly correlated electrons, topological phases of matter, and superconductivity.
The applicant must have a Ph.D. in physics obtained within the last five (5) years, a strong background in quantum many-body physics, and previous research experience in theoretical condensed matter physics (analytical and/or computational).
