The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a dynamic new university established 26 years ago, but already highly ranked (49th in 2017 Times University World Rankings, 36th in QS 2015/2016 rankings). The University is in the process of building up a particle theory and cosmology (PTC) group. Faculty members so far affiliated with HKUST (Department of Physics and/or IAS) in PTC areas include Andrew Cohen, Tao Liu, Gary Shiu, George Smoot, Henry Tye and Yi Wang. We invite applications for four to six (theoretical and/or experimental) postdoctoral positions effective from September 2017 in the areas of particle theory, LHC phenomenology, string theory, theoretical cosmology and observational cosmology, broadly defined. (Duration: 1-2 years, renewable.)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
