Postdoctoral Research Associate - INT

The Department of Energy’s Institute for Nuclear Theory, on the University of Washington campus, invites applications for one or more postdoctoral Research Associate positions starting Fall 2017, possibly as early as April 2017. Research Associates also hold appointments within the Physics Department, with which the INT is affiliated. These positions are full-time and are not tenure eligible; they are for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. Applicants for these positions must have a Ph.D. degree, or foreign equivalent, and a strong record of published research in nuclear theory, broadly defined. The INT’s local research interests include QCD, lattice gauge theory, many-body theory, nuclear astrophysics, effective field theory, weak interactions and symmetries, relativistic heavy ion physics, and nuclear structure. The Institute hosts approximately 400 visiting scientists each year, representing all areas of nuclear physics as well as its intersections with neighboring subfields, which makes for an exciting research environment. Please apply electronically using the link above. Applications received by December 1, 2016, will receive full consideration.
