*** this position has been closed, and no new applications will be accepted. ***

The quarks, hadron and nuclear theory group at the University of Maryland invites applications to fill a position starting at any time from now to September 2017. We are looking mostly for candidates interested in QCD, its effective theories and applications to astrophysics. Our recent research concentrates in large N QCD, sign problem and its solutions, lattice field theory and other Monte Carlo methods, exotic hadrons, … but our group has a track record of hiring quality candidates who haven't necessarily worked previously in those topics. We favor potential, breadth of interest and a taste for collaborative environments above the field of specialization. The successful candidate(s) will be part of the Maryland Center for Theoretical Physics housed in our new building among strong particle, gravity and astronomy groups.

Apply to the position at http://www.academicjobsonline.org/. Applications should include a CV, a statement of research interests, a list of publications and three letters of recommendation. The University of Maryland is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer. We should receive your completed application, including all letters of recommendation, before December 15, 2016.
