|POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Love Lab, to establish methods to profile tumors directly from blood samples as part of a highly collaborative team of scientists, engineers, oncologists, and computational biologists. The successful candidate will be principally responsible for developing and validating highly sensitive methods for analyzing select somatic alterations in circulating cell-free DNA. The incumbent will also be responsible for communicating results to the scientific community by way of presentations and publications.
REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. degree, preferably in molecular biology or related field; experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR or sequencing library construction; familiarity with cancer genomics or the analysis of DNA sequencing data. Seeking a highly motivated individual capable of working with a multidisciplinary team spanning multiple institutions. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to follow safety procedures and to maintain a safe work environment. The ability to contribute in a multidisciplinary team setting, to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, and to execute detailed technical protocols meticulously are mandatory. Supervisory experience is preferred.|
