Position Description:    

The Department of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of Practice to begin in August 2017. The position requires a Ph.D. in biological sciences, postdoctoral teaching experience, and expertise in the use of innovative and interactive scientific teaching practices in both introductory and advanced level courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching of introductory core courses (Cellular/Molecular Biology; Genetics) in addition to advanced level labs (e.g., Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, or a lab in the field of expertise of the candidate). Mentoring undergraduate students in independent research projects is also expected. Experience in assessment of student learning outcomes is highly desirable. This is a three-year position, with the potential of renewal.
