Theory Postdoctoral Position
The nuclear theory group at Iowa State University is soliciting applications for one postdoctoral position.
The appointment is contingent on funding and is expected to begin on September 1, 2017. The initial offer is for one year and renewable for a second year. Preference will be given to candidates with interests in QCD and its phenomenological applications to particle and nuclear physics.
Our group consists of two teaching/research faculty (Kirill Tuchin and James P. Vary) and one research faculty (Pieter Maris), as well as postdocs and graduate students. In addition, we have a strong nuclear experimental program, consisting of three faculty who are active members of the PHENIX collaboration at RHIC.
