|The University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a hospitalist/psychiatrist to work evenings and nights at the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH). WRCH, a state-of-art inpatient and rehabilitation facility that opened its new hospital in October, 2012, is a short walk from the Medical School where research and teaching opportunities are easy to accommodate and are actively encouraged. This 320-bed public psychiatric hospital is unique with a person-centered, recovery-focus as a fundamental operative principle. Shifts are 15 hours so a full time job can be done in two to three days. There are excellent state benefits with a pension plan. There are 13 paid holidays, four weeks of paid vacation, three paid conference days, two paid personal days, and a $3,000 annual practice allowance. The successful candidate must be BE/BC in Psychiatry, Medicine, Primary Care or Family Medicine.
WRCH is a Department of Mental Health Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry is contracted to provide the Professional Services. Successful candidates will receive a faculty appointment and can receive all the CME and risk management credits they need without leaving the building.
