Instructor The Horae Gene Therapy Center of the University of Massachusetts Medical School invites applications for an non-tenure track Research Faculty Instructor position. The research project focuses on animal modeling and gene therapy for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and other genetic/metabolic. Applicants should have a PhD in the biomedical sciences or an MD with post graduate scientific training and at least 4 years of research experience in the areas of molecular biology, virology, animal modeling, and gene therapy. Applicants with strong skills and track records in molecular cloning, mouse models of genetic/metabolic disorders, immunohistochemical staining and microscopic analysis, and in vivo gene transfer studies are preferred. Ability to work independently and coordinate different projects and activities concurrently, as well as strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working and motivated to respond to the changes within the rapidly evolving field of gene therapy research.
