ASSOCIATE PROVOST FOR ACADEMIC OPERATIONS
 
The Associate Provost for Academic Operations is an administrative officer of the University who is responsible for specified academic, faculty, and personnel duties. The Associate Provost for Academic Operations is responsible for carrying out those assigned responsibilities in a manner consistent with University goals and objectives and for evaluation of those assigned personnel and programs. The Associate Provost for Academic Operations is appointed by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs with the approval of the President. The appointment is on an annual renewable basis.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
•             Serve as a member of the Provost’s Council.
•             Serve as Chair the Academic Standing Committee and oversee academic appeals, dismissals, and probation processes.
•             Serve as Chair the Commencement Committee leading the organization and implementation of the Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremonies. 
•             Assist in mediation between student and faculty member, faculty member and administrator as needed.
•             Coordinate the budget process for areas within Academic Affairs.
•             Coordinate and issue appointment letters for the faculty.
•             Represent Academic Affairs on the Emergency Response and Rescue Team.
 
 
Qualifications
 
•             Earned doctorate from an accredited institution.
•             Established record of combined relevant experience in higher education instruction and program oversight.
•             Experience in budget development and management.
•             Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective communication across different university areas.
