Position Description:    

The College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, has an opening for an instructor in Veterinary Anesthesiology. The term of the appointment will be for two years. The successful applicant will have a DVM, or an equivalent qualification, and have completed a residency in veterinary anesthesiology.

The position is focused on supporting the after-hours mission of the Section of Anesthesia and Analgesia. In this position, you would primarily provide backup for anesthesia residents and students during evening, night, and weekend coverage. Occasionally this will include provision of primary case management. The expectation is that you will be available 3 out of every 4 weeks on a schedule mutually agreed with the Anesthesia Section Chief. Along with the other anesthesia faculty members, and as time permits, you will also be responsible for assisting with DVM teaching in surgical and other teaching laboratories. We strongly encourage you to participate in academic activities at the College and University during your appointment including seminars, rounds, and other activities.
