•Teach the Marine Megafauna course during Spring Term at Duke University, Durham

Administration of Rachel Carson Scholars Program

•Serve as point person at Duke University, Durham for this program •Work closely with Director and DUS of DUML on program development, implementation and evaluation •Serve as Durham-based DUML representative to recruit Trinity undergraduates to DUML •Coordinate bi-monthly professional development workshops for Rachel Carson Scholars-ethics, scientific writing, oral presentations •Advise undergraduate students- short term and long range course advising/planning •DUML course and research advising/recruiting •Coordinate Seminar Series for Durham-based Marine Science and Conservation Leadership Union and Conservation and Technology •Attend Trinity program evaluation and assessment meetings; represent MSC at Trinity meetings (DUS, certificate, etc) •Represent DUML Faculty at recruitment events (e.g. Blue Devil Days, NC-SC Open House, Majors Fair, Global Education Fair) •Hold student office hours in Durham •Serve on Rachel Carson Scholar Review Panel •Administer Rachel Carson Scholars travel awards, research funding, and Conference funding •Meet with prospective undergraduate students with interests in Marine Science and Conservation •Participate in MSC Faculty Meetings and other Faculty functions Duke University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual’s age, color, disability, genetic information, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
