Position: Assistant Professor of Economics (Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics)
Effective Date: August 20, 2018 (Fall Semester)
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Economics or related field with specialization in Environmental Economics or Natural Resource Economics
  • Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018.
  • Demonstrated potential for effective, college-level teaching.
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and peer-reviewed publication.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
  • Established record of effective teaching.
  • A well-defined research agenda. 
Duties
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics, and related subjects.
  • Teach additional courses based on needs and area of expertise.
  • Engage in scholarly research and efforts to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in service to the department, college, university, profession, and the university’s Environmental Science and Policy degree program.

  • Copy of transcript from institution awarding highest degree
  • Job Market Paper or other sample research paper
  • Finalists will also be required to submit a signed SC-1 form, three current letters of recommendation (if not already submitted), and an official transcript
A background check (including a criminal-records check and telephone reference check with most recent employer) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
