The A. James Clark School of Engineering seeks applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the interdisciplinary field of quantum information science and technology. Appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor are expected, although more senior candidates with outstanding records of research achievement are also welcome to apply. The selected candidate will hold a tenure-track appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering or related engineering department, and will conduct research and teaching at the intersection of engineering and physical science. Applicants working in any facets of quantum information, particularly with a focus on applications, are welcomed. Successful applicants will be expected to maintain active research programs and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or other related engineering departments.

Due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the field, the position may include shared or secondary appointments in multiple departments as well as the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QUICS), and the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics (IREAP), depending on the research interest of the candidate.

Applicants must have attained or be close to completing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Successful candidates must complete their Ph.D. prior to starting the appointment. Applicants should submit the following items:
