Position Description:    

The Department of Psychology at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-steam position in developmental psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall semester 2018. Completion of a Ph.D. in psychology is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. Area of developmental specialty is open, but a preference will be given to candidates who can teach human development. The teaching load is equivalent to five courses per year. Teaching responsibilities are likely to include foundational courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods), student research supervision, developmental psychology, and upper-level courses in the candidate’s specialty area. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
