What does it cost?

The annual fee for the department level memberships using the system is US$450. The fee will cover up to 7 job ads from one department per year (12 months). You can post more than 7 job ads a year by paying a higher rate. Currently enrolled employers can renew their accounts by clicking on the Config link under the Admin menu after login. After a year and before a new hiring season, you will need to renew through your "Config" screen. A warning and a link will start to appear around the appropriate time.

The institutional membership is free for qualified institutions and it can be renewed every year. The membership allows the institutional group and all the departmental and research groups within the same institution to use all the services we provide for free except for posting new job ads. To post new job ads, new job slots must be purchased first. Each new job ad uses one slot. The job slots can be purchased anytime:

  • by the institutional group for US$1500 per 10 job slots and they are shared/used by all the departmental and research groups to post new job ads without any additional cost,
  • or by any of the departmental groups at a different rate (see above, the same as without an institutional membership) whenever they are needed and they can only be used by that group.
A departmental group will use up its own unexpired job slots first before tapping into the shared institutional ones. All job slots expire one year from the purchasing date; the system always uses the oldest unexpired slots first for any new job postings.

The institution level membership represents a significant cost saving over the multiple departmental memberships within the same institution; and it also enables you to have better control over the whole hiring process at the institution level, to make sure your institutional hiring standards and data collection requirements are met. For example, you can enroll any numbers of departments (subgroups) without any additional cost, create an institution wide EEO/AA form and collect all the EEO/AA and EEO compliance data in one place, ensure all job ads follow a standard template, configure additional questions for all applicants or for all hiring managers, or download all application data from all subgroups to your own databases.

By special request, the annual fee for a small research group hiring postdocs to use this service is US$75, which lets you post up to 2 jobs per year. Please indicate so when you sign up.
