The successful candidate will teach our broad survey medical anthropology course (Medicine, Body, and Culture), as well as other undergraduate and graduate courses in their areas of expertise. A well-rounded candidate may also be invited to teach core graduate or undergraduate courses in anthropology (such as in theory, methods, and/or introduction to social-cultural anthropology). The successful candidate will also participate in the popular undergraduate Health: Science, Society, and Policy Program. Our faculty members advise undergraduate majors, mentor seniors on independent projects, and serve as advisors and mentors for MA and PhD students. The full-time teaching load is four courses per year (two per semester). The candidate for this position must hold a PhD by the time of appointment.
