WHO/Cochrane/Cornell University Summer InstituteThe week of July 4 and the week of July 25, 2022, Cornell University, Ithaca campusOverviewThis unique institute is typically held on the Cornell University campus; it brings together experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), Cochrane, and Cornell University to train participants in the development of systematic reviews of nutrition interventions in populations. In 2022, the Institute will be conducted in a virtual format that combines asynchronous instruction (work at your own pace, in teams) with synchronous (live, collaborative and interactive), and all sessions will be held between 10am and 1pm EDT. The Institute is two weeks in length, requiring consecutive days of availability during the week of July 4 and the week of July 25. Participants will learn to apply the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) tool to assess the overall quality of evidence. Who should attend?The institute is intended for nutrition scientists and practitioners with interest in the application of scientific evidence in policy making. Candidates must have a university degree in health or social sciences with interest in nutrition interventions for public health and be willing to be co-authors on a Cochrane review.
