The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University invites applications for an Assistant Research Professor specializing in biomedical research related to genome engineering technologies and the study of gene regulation, to begin as soon as possible. Qualifications include a PhD in biological sciences, genetics/genomics, biomedical engineering, or related field, and demonstrated research accomplishments as demonstrated by significant published scholarship. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, possess strong training in genetics, genomics, and gene regulation, and have a successful track record of grant funding. Candidates with experience in CRISPR-based genome and epigenome editing, epigenomic profiling, and high-throughput genetic screening in mammalian cell culture systems will be given priority. Assistant Research Professors are expected to publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, participate in conferences for the intellectual exchange of research ideas, engage in existing and new collaborations within and outside Duke University, and assist with training of undergraduate and graduate students.
