The Payne Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science is recruiting a Research Scientist. This researcher is expected to have a PhD in Chemistry (or related field) and will be responsible for experiments at the nano-bio interface. This will include chemical functionalization of nanoparticles, cell culture, and cell biology assays (MTT, H2DCFDA, etc). Experience with basic spectroscopy (UV-Vis, fluorescence, CD) and microscopy (fluorescence, EM) is required.
