Dr. Elizabeth Marsh’s Memory Lab at Duke University (https://www.marshmemorylab.com/) is looking to hire a short term, part-time Associate in Research for summer 2022. The lab focuses on memory; the Associate in Research will primarily assist with completion of projects involving cognition in the digital age. The goal is to understand how searching for information affects what people learn and their metacognitive beliefs. The successful candidate will analyze existing data and write manuscripts for publication. The other project focuses on how people interpret and remember graphical representations. The successful candidate will develop documentation for existing data sets and prepare materials for future projects that build on existing studies. Additional data collection is possible. The position requires expertise in memory research and proficient computer skills (Excel skills and SPSS/statistical software knowledge are required). The successful candidate will have experience collecting data on MTurk and be able to provide evidence of writing ability. The ideal applicant will have conducted empirical research on the project topic.
