The Department of Romance Studies at Duke University is seeking a qualified instructor in Malagasy for a one-year non-renewable appointment. Qualifications requested for candidates: MA or PhD in second language acquisition, pedagogy, or related areas. This is a part-time position (1 course per semester) with competitive salary. We seek candidates with a demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design, a proven ability to work effectively and independently, and a strong interest in working with undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Native or near-native fluency in Malagasi and English is required. Please submit a CV, cover letter, names of 3 recommenders, and sample syllabi or materials from courses taught.
