Duke University OEM Clinical Faculty Position  

Duke Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Department of Community and Family Medicine is seeking a BC/BE Occupational Medicine Physician for a full time clinical faculty position. Academic appointment in the Duke School of Medicine is based on academic portfolio. Clinical activities will be conducted at Duke Employee Occupational Health and Wellness (EOHW) providing services for over 40,000 faculty and staff of the University and Health System. 

Responsibilities include patient care for work-related injury/illness/exposure, medical surveillance, clinical toxicology, independent medical examinations, permanent impairment ratings, fitness for duty assessments, disability management, American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) review, policy development, and managing and developing employee wellness and assistance programs. EOHW is a highly collaborative OEM practice relying on a multidisciplinary approach to emerging issues including infectious agents, violence prevention, and emergency preparedness. Other responsibilities include supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The position also includes teaching of medical residents and students, and the potential for clinical research. Experience in an academic health care setting is considered a positive factor.
