Ege University Bioengineering Department in Izmir-Turkey invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the Laboratory of Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture. An applicant is eligible for appointment if he/she has attained a PhD degree. Primarily, persons should have attained a PhD degree no more than 5 years before the end of the application period. The position will not be available before late 2016/early 2017. Position summary The applicant will have the chance to have a Full-time permanent position as an Assistant Professor if selected (not before 2017) with a minimum starting salary around 4000 TL. Qualifications The applicant should be a Turkish Citizen. The applicant should get his/her PhD degree from the universities abroad (Universities should be recognized by Turkey Higher Education Council; YÖK). The applicant requires a PhD on plant cell, tissue and organ cultures. The applicant should have significant scientific achievements, as evidenced by a number of articles in well reputed international scientific journals. The applicant should have a scientific leadership and experience in managing research projects. The applicant should have documented experiences and skills in teaching and supervision. The applicant should have ability to attract research funding. The applicant should have evidence of an international scientific network. The applicant will contribute to ongoing courses and programs at graduate level. The applicant is expected to do research in the subject area.
