Georgia Health Policy Center, Georgia State University

The Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC) is the largest research center within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Established in 1995, GHPC provides evidence-based research, program development, policy guidance, and technical assistance locally, statewide and nationally to improve health at the community level. Projects focus on community and public health, public and private health insurance coverage, long-term care, child health, and community health systems development. GHPC also houses the Center of Excellence in Children’s Behavioral Health through their partnership with Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. GHPC is active in all 50 states and more than 200 communities nationwide and manages more than 7 million in grants and sponsored research annually.
