The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent. The School seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Candidates will be considered in all of the technical areas listed below at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Exceptional candidates will also be considered at the rank of full Professor.

Autonomy and Machine Learning and related areas including mathematical and algorithmic foundations of learning, optimization and artificial intelligence; dynamical systems and control theory; robotics; and cyber-physical systems.

Computer Architectures for Embedded, HPC and Cloud Systems: novel computing paradigms for IoT, edge, cloud and HPC systems, including – but not limited to – low-power, high-performance, secure, autonomous and interconnected computational models, hardware, and programming methodologies. Co-design across hardware and software including distributed devices communicating, learning and intelligently adapting to the environment on the edge of an IoT network or in a cloud/HPC platform.

RF Integrated Systems: broad coverage of RF through mm-wave integrated circuits, analog and mixed-signal circuits for wireless applications, broadband and energy efficiency mm-wave/THz communications (beyond 5G and 6G) and remote sensing. Application of RF/mm-wave circuits to biology, healthcare and silicon-based integrated photonics are also desirable.

VLSI and Digital Circuits: Design and automation of advanced digital and VLSI circuits with applications in high-performance and energy-efficient computing, power management, clocking, and interface circuits. Emerging areas such as quantum and cryogenic computing, reconfigurable circuits and systems, circuits for 2.D/3D integration, neuromorphic and AI accelerators, advanced signal processing hardware will also be considered.

Leading edge. Candidates whose research does not naturally fall into one of the categories above, but are in emerging fields with the potential for high impact.
