The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University is a top-ranked public policy school located in the center of the policy world in Washington, D.C. The McCourt School is seeking a full-time, non-tenure line faculty member in the area of Racial & Social Justice. The position’s duties include, but are not limited to:
Leading & organizing efforts across McCourt’s Confronting Racism working group committees
Developing a Racial and Social Justice curriculum track for the McCourt School in conjunction with the McCourt Confronting Racism Teaching & Learning Committee
Managing the McCourt Policy Innovation Lab; supervise two Research Assistants and 20-25 students working on community engagement projects in Wards 7 and 8
Teaching 1-2 electives on Racial Equity and Social Justice for the McCourt School
Developing and teaching racial equity workshops for the McCourt Leadership Fellows program
Developing and teaching racial equity workshops for the required Foundations of McCourt pre-term course for new students
Developing and implementing training workshops for teaching faculty on integrating racial equity and social justice in their courses
Requirements
Master’s degree required -- terminal degree preferred
Experience in public policy teaching preferred
Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills
Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekend as necessary
