Lehigh University Teaching Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice in Business Information Systems and Business Analytics

Lehigh University’s Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) in the College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track instructional position in Business Information Systems and Business Analytics beginning August 2023. The position rank is either Teaching Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice, dependent upon the candidate’s experience and record of teaching. This is a non-tenure track, full time, fixed term, renewable position. Interested candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree in Information Systems or in a related field by the time of employment.

Candidates must be able to teach advanced business analytics and visualization involving the use of R and RStudio at the undergraduate and graduate level. The selected candidate is expected to be a highly engaged and committed member of the DATA department and will be involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring and department service assigned by the department chair. The standard teaching schedule is 12 credits per academic semester.

The College of Business is home to approximately 1,700 undergraduates, 320 graduate students, and 80 full-time faculty members. In addition to undergraduate, MBA, and various other graduate programs, the college has joint programs with engineering and computer science. The Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) includes faculty in information systems and supply chain management. Lehigh’s College of Business ranked 26th in Poets and Quants 2022 ratings for the best business programs for undergraduates. Our online MBA program is ranked 9th in 2022 Poets and Quants rankings and 24th in 2022 US News and World Report. Lehigh is ranked 49th in US News and World Report’s 2022 national university rankings.
