Title, Qualifications and Position Summary Lehigh
University’s Department of Economics in the College of Business seeks to fill one visiting faculty position
beginning August 2024. This is a one-year visiting position that ends in May
2025. Candidates must be able to teach courses in basic statistics and
intermediate microeconomics. The ability to teach an upper-level (post
intermediate microeconomics) undergraduate course in public economics would be
considered a plus, though not a requirement for the position. The selected
candidate is expected to teach four to eight courses over the academic year,
depending on the candidate’s background and availability. Salary will depend upon
the candidate’s academic research record, especially as evidenced by the
ability to engage in joint research with colleagues, and teaching responsibilities.

The Department of Economics
faculty consists of 20 members whose combined research interests span most of
the fields in the discipline, with a particularly strong core in the field of
