Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to work with the Neutron star Interior Composition Explorer (NICER) team at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and Professor Cole Miller at the University of Maryland (UMd), College Park. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field by the start date of the position. The candidate must also have substantial experience in Python and a good understanding of neutron star physics; knowledge of machine learning techniques, general relativity, and the physics of dense matter are also favorable. The appointment will be for two years with the possibility of an extension to a third year and will start in the Fall of 2023. Applications should be submitted through Academic Jobs Online.
