Prof. Po-Yao Chang's group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow, specialized in condensed matter theory or quantum information. Our group is interested in studying non-Hermitian, non-equilibrium, and open quantum systems, including developing theoretical methods of pump-probe experiments and engineering topological phases out of equilibrium or with post-selections. We are also interested in understanding generic quantum thermalization, non-equilibrium quantum phase transition, entanglement scrambling, quantum chaos and quantum turbulence.

The postdoctoral position is for two years, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and the availability of funding. The job posting will remain open until it is filled. The start date of the appointment is late 2023/early 2024, but can be flexible.
