The Leung Center for Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics (LeCosPA) of National Taiwan University is pleased to announce the availability of several Post-Doctoral Fellow or Assistant Fellow positions in theoretical and experimental cosmology and particle astrophysics, depending on the seniority and qualification of the candidate. Candidates with exceeding qualification will be further offered as LeCosPA Distinguished Junior Fellows with competitive salary.

LeCosPA was founded in 2007 with the aspiration of contributing to cosmology and particle astrophysics in Asia and the world. Its theoretical studies include dark energy, dark matter, inflation, cosmic neutrinos, classical and quantum gravity and black hole physics, etc. Its experimental investigations are focusing on three major directions: 1. particle astrophysics, 2. cosmology, 3. laboratory cosmology. In particle astrophysics, the main thrust is in the radiowave detection of ultra-high energy cosmic neutrinos and cosmic rays via TAROGE-M, ANITA, ARA, PUEO, RNO, and IceCube-Gen2 in Antarctica, and the TAROGE Array in Taiwan. We have also co-initiated a new observatory BURSTT in Taiwan to search for FRBs (fast radio bursts). In cosmology, we are an active collaborator in the AliCPT Telescope in Tibet to search for CMB polarizations and primordial gravitational waves. In laboratory cosmology the main effort is the AnaBHEL experiment, using high-intensity lasers to create tabletop analog black holes to investigate Hawking radiation and the information loss paradox. Experimentalists with a background in laser-plasma science and technology are especially encouraged to apply.
These positions are available on September 15, 2023. Interested applicant should submit his/her application to AJO (PD#22631) with curriculum vitae, research statement, publication list and three letters of recommendation before December 15, 2022. For more information about LeCosPA, please visit its website at http://lecospa.ntu.edu.tw/
