INTRODUCTION The Finance Department in the School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to begin January 2022. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research and scholarship through high-quality journals in financial economics, participate in prominent national and international academic conferences, and help guide research efforts in their areas of expertise. In addition to research, individuals will be expected to teach appropriate courses at the undergraduate, master's, and/or Ph.D. levels, and participate in outreach and service activities. Successful candidates will share a deep commitment to effective instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels, development of innovative courses, and mentoring of students in research, outreach, and professional development. Successful candidates will also be expected to broaden participation among members of under-represented groups; demonstrate through their research, teaching, and/or public engagement the richness of diversity in the learning experience; integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods and research tools; contribute to the development of pedagogical techniques designed to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and intellectual interests. APPOINTMENT TERMS This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2022. The successful candidate's primary academic appointment will be at the Stamford campus with the possibility of assignment at the Storrs campus or other UConn regional campuses. The candidates may teach in the Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. Programs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
