The Department of Anthropology at the University of Oregon seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in biological anthropology to begin on September 16, 2018. We seek an outstanding, broadly-trained evolutionary biological anthropologist who will complement, not duplicate, the existing strengths within the department. Examples of possible specialties include, but are not limited to, human evolutionary biology, evolutionary medicine, evolutionary anatomy, paleobiology, and paleogenomics. The successful candidate is expected to conduct a rigorous, fieldwork and/or laboratory based, externally-funded research program as well as teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. is required by September 15, 2018. Postdoctoral experience and an established publication record are preferred.
