The School of Human Evolution and Social Change invites applications for two full-time instructors with an anticipated start date in August 2018. These are full-time, benefits-eligible non-tenure eligible positions.

The successful candidates will develop and teach online, hybrid, and in-person undergraduate classes in the area of anthropology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate by time of appointment in anthropology or a related social-scientific field, from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Topical expertise in biological anthropology/primatology and/or bioarchaeology

Desired Qualifications:

  • Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate students
  • Experience teaching biological anthropology and/or anatomy laboratory courses
  • Previous experience with Blackboard and/or Canvas
  • Area focus on Africa or Latin America
  • A strong potential for success in serving the needs of diverse student populations and/or reaching out to diverse communities.
