Position Description: |
The Duke Canine Cognition Center at Duke University is announcing an available pre-doctoral position to begin as early as July 1, 2018. The Department of Evolutionary Anthropology is seeking an associate in research to aid in the conduct of psychology research. Evidence of experience conducting all aspects of original psychology experiments and working closely with others participating, conducting and leading the research is desirable; demonstrated skill in research with children and animals also important. Experiences showing comfort with domestic or international travel also important.
Candidates must have a B.A. or the equivalent of an undergraduate degree. Ideally candidates will have a major in the natural or social sciences and demonstrated skills at conducting original research with a team. A keen interest in developmental and/or comparative psychology a must. Domestic travel will likely be necessary. Candidates need to be fluent in written and spoken English. Time Frame: The initial appointment will be 2-months effective July 1, 2018 with an hourly rate of $15.00.
