Assistant/Associate Professor Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Georgia State University College of Law currently invites applicants for a full-time tenured or tenure-track position in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to begin in the 2019-20 academic year. Georgia State Law has two clinical programs focusing on ADR and is home to the Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (CNCR), an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional theory-building program founded in 1987. With respect to international ADR, it hosts the Atlanta Center for International Arbitration and Mediation (ACIAM) and the ABA Dispute Resolution Section’s International Dispute Resolution Resource Center (IDRRC). The College encourages Applicants with an interest in advising and advancing these programs and the College’s ADR curriculum.

Applicants must have a law degree and a strong academic record. An advanced degree or significant practice experience in conflict resolution is preferable. Applicants should demonstrate a track record or promise in teaching and research in ADR, both domestic and international. Interest in occasionally teaching civil procedure or contracts would be helpful.
