The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications from outstanding political scientists specializing in the study of American Politics for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor or a tenured appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The department is committed to building an intellectually vibrant, culturally inclusive, and academically diverse community of exceptional faculty. The appointment is open with respect to empirical approach and area of expertise. We will give priority to important research that builds synergies within the department. Candidates able to assist in graduate training in quantitative methods or formal theory should indicate those competencies. The appointment will begin Fall 2019. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. The Committee will begin reviewing files as early as September 1, 2018.
