RUTGERS CENTER FOR MATERIALS THEORY is seeking the application of talented candidates for postdoctoral research positions in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, beginning Fall 2019. We are seeking: i. candidates for group positions ? to work with the Materials Theory Group as a whole and also ii. candidates for positions associated with particular members of the group. Research in the group is led by Natan Andrei, Premala Chandra, Piers Coleman, Kristjan Haule, Gabriel Kotliar, Jed Pixley, Karin Rabe, David Vanderbilt and Emil Yuzbashyan. Interests in our group span a broad range of frontier challenges in many body and condensed matter physics research. We have a world-class reputation for ground-breaking and creative research in the areas of emergent quantum materials. Our interests include strongly correlated electron materials, heavy fermion materials, transition metal-based high temperature superconductivity, quantum phase transitions, topological states of matter, ultra-cold atomic gases, non-perturbative field theory methods, dynamical mean field theory approaches, mesoscopic physics, integrable models, non-equilibrium dynamics of strongly correlated systems, non-equilibrium transport and quantum impurities, quantum computation and the first-principles calculation of electronic structure.
