*** The account for Racah Institute of Physics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem has expired, and no new applications will be accepted. ***

The Racah Institute of Physics is looking for a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join the condensed matter theory groups led by Dr. Zohar Ringel and Dr. Snir Gazit. Our research spans a broad range of topics in the field of condensed matter theory, including strongly correlated electron systems, quantum criticality, topological phases of matter, and quantum information. Our group is a world leader in the development and application of computational approaches such as quantum Monte Carlo, tensor networks, and machine learning inspired numerical schemes.

The appointee will perform theoretical physics research, supplemented by computational work. A proven track record in either strongly correlated phases, spin-glasses, statistical mechanics, or any similar subfield involving many-body physics is required. Experience with high-performance computing and data analysis skills are an advantage.

The postdoctoral fellowship position offers a comfortable salary and is for two plus one years. Jerusalem is a fascinating and diverse city which is full of charm and history. Within an hour's drive, one can visit the dead-sea, the desert, and the Mediterranean beach. The appointee can also choose to live in Tel-Aviv which is an hour's commute from the department.
