The Department of Psychology at Koç University invites applications for full-time faculty positions of any rank in all areas of psychology. We seek a candidate to join the existing faculty at the Department of Psychology that consists of internationally recognized researchers (see faculty website). Cutting-edge research is supported by strong graduate programs (Masters and PhD in Cognitive, Developmental and Social/Organizational Psychology), and collaborations with other PhD programs (e.g. Neuroscience, Design, Technology and Society, Management). Several research labs within the Psychology Department (developmental labs, animal research lab, cognitive labs, leadership lab, social interaction and media lab), collaborations with faculty members across different disciplines (e.g., the medical school) and research centers (e.g., women and gender studies research center, migration research center) provide excellent opportunities for establishing an internationally recognized research agenda. Internal and external grant opportunities (from Turkey and EU) facilitate state-of-the-art research. Candidates are expected to hold a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline, demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. The ideal candidate will be expected to build an active research program. The teaching load is two courses per semester with the possibility of a reduced teaching load in the first year. The position is expected to start in Fall 2019. Located in Istanbul, Turkey, Koç University is a private research university where the language of instruction is English. Applications must be received by January 31, 2019.
